Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality control processes and inspection standards for incoming materials, in-process production, and finished goods.
  • Support the establishment of the plants quality management system (QMS) aligned with automotive industry standards (e.g., IATF 16949).
  • Lead problem-solving activities using methodologies such as 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, PDCA, or similar tools to address internal and customer-related quality issues.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to improve product quality and reduce defects.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and supplier teams to ensure quality requirements are understood and executed effectively.
  • Participate in new product introduction (NPI), including process validation, capability studies (CP/CPK), and PPAP documentation.
  • Perform internal quality audits and support external customer or certification audits.
  • Monitor and analyse quality KPIs such as defect rates, scrap, customer complaints, and supplier performance to drive continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate quality-related communication with global customers and suppliers when required.
  • Support calibration management, inspection equipment maintenance, and measurement system analysis (MSA).
Quality Engineer Job Requirements (JR)
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Manufacturing, or related fields).
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in quality engineering, preferably in automotive or electronics manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive quality standards such as IATF 16949, ISO 9001, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, and SPC.
  • Hands-on experience in problem-solving tools (8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa, DMAIC, etc.).
  • Familiar with quality inspection methods, gauges, metrology tools, and measurement techniques.
