Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead new product introduction (NPI) activities from trial production planning to mass production readiness.

  • Develop and manage trial production documents (e.g., risk assessment, validation matrix) to ensure equipment, tooling, and material readiness.

  • Execute pilot runs according to APQP, monitor key metrics, and achieve FPY 90% during launch.

  • Identify and resolve trial issues (design flaws, process bottlenecks) using DOE and structured problem-solving.

  • Collaborate with R&D and cross-functional teams on design changes, material readiness, and issue closure.

  • Coordinate with production, quality, and logistics to ensure smooth trial execution and minimize downtime.

  • Deliver manufacturability assessments and propose design/process optimizations for mass production.

  • Develop standardized launch manuals, process databases, and error-proofing guidelines to improve efficiency.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree or above in Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, or related fields.

  • Minimum 3 years experience in automotive components, with at least 2 full-cycle NPI projects (motor-related preferred).
  • Familiar with IATF 16949, VDA standards, and automotive manufacturing processes (e.g., stator winding, rotor balancing).
  • Skilled in project management (MS Project, JIRA) and quality tools (Minitab, FMEA, DOE).
  • Strong cross-functional leadership, problem-solving, and bilingual communication skills (Chinese & English).
  • Preference for PMP certification, local supply chain knowledge, or experience in new energy motor projects.

Salary Range: RM4000 - RM7000
