Job Description (JD)
- Develop, implement, and enforce the company's Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) policies to ensure all employees understand and comply with established standards.
- Oversee and ensure compliance with all applicable environmental, occupational health, and safety laws, regulations, and statutory requirements, including waste management, emission control, and safe work practices.
- Conduct risk assessments across company operations to identify environmental, health, and safety hazards, and implement appropriate control, corrective, and preventive measures.
- Develop and deliver EHS training and awareness programs to enhance employees' understanding of EHS requirements and promote a strong safety culture.
- Lead the investigation, reporting, and resolution of EHS-related incidents, accidents, and near misses, and provide timely reports to senior management.
- Establish, implement, and continuously improve the company's EHS management system to ensure effective operation and compliance with relevant standards.
- Coordinate with internal departments, clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and main contractors on EHS-related matters to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Manage EHS resources, including manpower, equipment, and budgets, to support the effective implementation of EHS initiatives.
- Provide recommendations to senior management on EHS strategies, improvements, and risk mitigation measures.
- Perform any other ad hoc duties assigned by management.
Job Requirements (JR)
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Safety Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Registered Safety Engineer or other relevant professional EHS certification is preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of EHS management experience in project or construction environments.
- Good command of English (both written and spoken).
- Strong knowledge of occupational safety and health legislation, environmental regulations, and mandatory standards for mechanical and electrical (M&E) engineering or construction projects.
- Familiar with EHS management systems and international safety standards.
- Strong leadership, organizational, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and risk management abilities.
- High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail with a proactive working attitude.
- Able to work effectively with cross-functional teams, clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and main contractors.
