Key Responsibilities:

• Take full responsibility for the Operations team within new facility.
• Lead all operations with focus on efficiency, reliability, quality, and a strong operational culture.
• Oversee manufacturing and production activities.
• Coordinate production planning and scheduling to meet requirements for quality, delivery time, materials, and cost.
• Monitor production performance and resolve operational issues.
• Manage supply chain activities, including purchasing and technical purchasing.
• Manage agreed inventory levels and vendor selection.
• Oversee supply chain activities covering procurement, warehousing, and shipment.
• Approve purchasing of equipment and related operational requirements.
• Manage product quality control within Operations.
• Ensure local legally required safety procedures and Plastiflex minimum safety standards are in place.
• Enforce health and safety precautions across operations.
• Manage maintenance activities.
• Monitor and resolve maintenance-related production issues.
• Approve maintenance work and related operational requirements.
• Identify, initiate, and manage continuous improvement programmes and activities.
• Manage employee proposals relating to process and product improvements and report improvement results.
• Drive improvements in operational efficiency, reliability, processes, and products.
• Promote LEAN, Kaizen, and continuous improvement practices where applicable.
• Be responsible for the financial results of the department.
• Estimate operating costs and prepare departmental budgets.
• Monitor KPI and report operational performance.
• Report operational results and key issues to upper management.
• Build a highly qualified and motivated team of professionals.
• Define the necessary skills and identify training needs for employees across departments.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor and above in Engineering.
• Background in engineering and plastic transformation.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as a Production Manager or Operations Manager, with strong technical capability or equivalent relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of operational processes and related financials.
• Knowledge of supply chain management, including procurement, warehousing, and shipment.
• Experience in production planning and scheduling.
• Technical affinity with plastic raw material transformation; extrusion experience is an advantage.
• Experience with ISO.
• Knowledge of automotive standards, LEAN, Kaizen, and related operational improvement practices.
• Proficient in MS Office and ERP software.

Salary Range: Up to RM16k
