Job Description
- Manage the full spectrum of finance and accounting functions, including full set accounts, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), bank reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing activities.
- Oversee cash flow planning and monitoring to ensure sufficient working capital and healthy financial performance across business operations.
- Prepare, review, and analyze Profit & Loss (P&L), Balance Sheet, cash flow statements, and management accounts to support business decision-making.
- Lead annual budgeting, financial forecasting, and variance analysis to ensure financial targets and business objectives are achieved.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, including tax submissions, SST compliance, external audits, company secretarial matters, and financial reporting standards.
- Review, strengthen, and improve internal controls, financial policies, accounting procedures, and operational processes to enhance governance and efficiency.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review, providing insights and recommendations on business performance.
- Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, government authorities, and external stakeholders on finance-related matters.
- Support business expansion, cost control initiatives, and strategic planning through financial analysis and performance monitoring.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent professional qualification.
- Minimum 5–8 years of accounting and finance experience, with at least 2–3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Experience in Retail, Agency, SME, Hostel/Property Management, Trading, or Service industries is highly preferred.
- Strong experience in handling full set accounts, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and P&L analysis.
- Well-versed in statutory compliance, including taxation, SST, external audits, and financial regulations.
- Proven experience in reviewing and strengthening internal controls, financial processes, and operational procedures.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial planning skills.
- Experience liaising with auditors, tax agents, bankers, and regulatory authorities.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Good leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and support business growth initiatives.
