Job Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Environmental Management Plan (EMP) in accordance with regulatory approval conditions and client requirements.
- Ensure full compliance with all applicable environmental laws, regulations, permits, and approval conditions.
- Liaise and coordinate with relevant authorities, consultants, and stakeholders on environmental matters, inspections, and reporting requirements.
- Prepare, submit, and follow up on environmental reports, records, and statutory submissions as required.
- Monitor and control environmental aspects including air quality (dust and emissions), noise, vibration, wastewater, stormwater runoff, waste management, and chemical storage.
- Conduct regular site inspections and environmental audits to identify non-conformities and opportunities for improvement.
- Verify that contractors and subcontractors comply with approved environmental control measures and procedures.
- Identify environmental risks associated with construction activities and recommend effective mitigation and control measures.
- Investigate environmental incidents, complaints, and non-conformance events, and prepare corrective and preventive action reports.
- Coordinate and implement immediate response actions for environmental emergencies, including spills, excessive emissions, and pollution incidents.
- Promote environmental awareness and sustainable construction practices across the project site.
- Provide technical guidance to site teams on environmental best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate inspection records, monitoring data, waste tracking records, and environmental performance indicators.
- Prepare weekly and monthly environmental performance reports for project management and clients.
- Support ESG and sustainability reporting related to environmental performance when required.
- Work closely with EHS Officers to ensure site activities comply with project and EHS objectives and progress according to plan.
Job Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Management, or a related discipline.
- Possess professional certifications such as CESSWI, CESWI, or CePSWaM.
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in construction projects. Experience in large-scale infrastructure or data centre projects is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of environmental laws, regulatory compliance requirements, and environmental control measures for construction activities.
- Experience working with contractors and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Solid understanding of environmental risk management and compliance systems.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively with site teams and external stakeholders.
- Able to independently conduct inspections, audits, and incident investigations.
- Strong report writing, document management, and basic data analysis skills.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Willing to work on construction sites and conduct frequent field inspections.
- Willing to work overtime or on weekends during critical phases of the project.

Salary Range: Open for negotiation
