Our client was established in 2013 and is a Las Vegas-based asset management company owning subsidiaries engaged in a large number of diverse business activities. The most important of these are businesses related to the hospitality field and in the commercial retail real estate space.

Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our team. As a strategic partner to the executive leadership, the CFO will oversee financial operations across our diverse portfolio, which includes restaurant franchises, fitness franchises, and commercial retail real estate investments. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented professional with strong accounting expertise, exceptional communication skills, and a proven track record in financial strategy and analysis. The CFO will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial health and strategic growth of our diverse business portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Financial Leadership
   1. Develop and implement financial strategies to drive growth, operational efficiency and profitability.
   2. Prepare and present financial reports, forecasts, and budgets for executive decision-making.
   3. Provide clear, concise, and actionable communication to executive leadership regarding financial issues, risks, and opportunities.
   4. Build and lead a high-performing finance team, promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
2. Acquisitions and Due Diligence
   1. Lead financial analysis and risk assessments for new acquisitions.
   2. Provide insights and recommendations on acquisitions to support strategic growth.
   3. Oversee underwriting processes and evaluate investment opportunities.
3. Capital Structure and Risk Management
   1. Develop and optimize funding strategies, including loans and equity structuring.
   2. Build relationships with financial institutions, investors, and other stakeholders.
   3. Oversee risk management strategies to safeguard company assets and investments.
   4. Manage entity creation, equity distributions, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
   5. Monitor and evaluate portfolio performance, providing actionable insights.
4. Accounting and Financial Reporting
   1. Oversee accurate and timely financial reporting.
   2. Audit and analyze books with a critical eye, identifying and addressing discrepancies.
   3. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
5. Operational Financial Oversight
   1. Create systems and processes for streamlined financial operations.
   2. Supervise the creation and management of financial entities across the portfolio.
   3. Collaborate with other leaders to align financial strategies with business objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (MBA/CPA preferred).
• 8+ years of experience in finance leadership roles in the restaurant or franchise industry preferably in the Americas.
• Proven track record in managing financial operations for multi-unit businesses.
• Expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.
• Strong knowledge of capital structuring, acquisitions, due diligence and portfolio management.
• Demonstrated exceptional attention to detail, analysis of complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
• Strong leadership, critical thinking and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
• Proficiency in Sage, QuickBooks, Datarails, Paylocity, and ADP
