Position Overview:
A key leadership role focused on the preparation and oversight of external financial reporting, disclosures, and compliance processes. This position involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial statements, support strategic initiatives, and identify opportunities for process improvements. The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented professional with strong technical knowledge and the ability to collaborate effectively with senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the preparation of external financial reports in compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
- Develop and review detailed disclosures for key financial elements and ensure alignment with technical guidance.
- Collaborate with multiple teams to support financial communication initiatives, including reporting, presentations, and releases.
- Conduct thorough reviews of financial filings to ensure consistency, accuracy, and clarity.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate audits and reviews.
- Monitor changes in accounting standards, assess their impact, and recommend strategies for implementation.
- Benchmark reporting practices against industry standards and recommend enhancements.
- Contribute to sustainability-related disclosures and other specialized reporting initiatives.
- Provide oversight and guidance on technical accounting matters and process improvements.
- Mentor and guide team members to ensure quality and alignment with organizational goals.
- Support leadership on various projects and ad hoc tasks as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field; relevant certifications preferred.
- Extensive experience in financial reporting and accounting, including public company exposure.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
- Exceptional analytical and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in financial systems and tools; experience with reporting software is a plus.
- Flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
