About the job I&C Engineer
At HIPP Design + Consulting, I&C Engineers design instrumentation and control systems for industrial facilities and specialize in the design of systems for pharmaceutical and biotechnology plants. Design ranges from conceptual to detailed design.
Responsibilities and Tasks
Responsibilities and tasks include, but are not limited to the following:
- Specification of instruments, valves, and control devices
- Control panel design
- Wiring diagram design
- Control valve sizing
- Industrial automation network design
- Implementation of hardware for process and facility control systems (PLC or DCS)
- Specification and commissioning of industrial, process, and HVAC instrumentation such as pressure, temperature, level, flow, and analytical measurements and valves
- Wireless network design utilizing wireless instruments
- Understanding and ensuring compliance with the clients health and safety regulations and quality standards
- Providing advice and consultancy support
- Testing, maintaining, and modifying existing systems
- Analyzing data and presenting findings in written technical report
Engineers may also provide onsite client support as needed.
Qualifications
- College degree or equivalent experience
- P.E. certification preferred
- Pharma facility design preferred
- 5-10 years of overall engineering experience; cGMP design experience preferred
- Confident independent problem solver who can successfully advocate preferred solution
- Experience in peer review and review of subordinates' work; and QC-focused training.
- Up to 2 years of CAD and/or Revit exposure preferred
- Intermediate proficiency in Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
