Terms And Conditions for Referral Programs

EMPLOYEE RECOMMENDATION & REFERRAL PROGRAM - Active Staff Only

Hill recognizes that word of mouth referrals can be an effective way to attract qualified future employees. Hill’s employee referral program is designed to reward Hill employees who have referred successful candidates.

TERMS and CONDITIONS

The Employee Recommendation / Referral Program is based on the following criteria:

  1. The recommendation / referral applies to FULL TIME construction, engineering and technical / billable positions only (administrative positions are not included).
  1. If the candidate has applied online or otherwise within the previous 6 months, no referral bonus will be paid.
  1. A recommended / referred candidate must be hired within 6 months of the original referral for the referrer (Hill employee) to be eligible for the referral bonus.
  1. The employee recommendation / referral form MUST be submitted along with the resume to HR BEFORE the initial interview(via e mail). If this does not occur the referral bonus will not be paid out.
  1. The recommendation /referral must apply to an “actual” open position; not a position specifically created for the applicant.
  1. The active employee referring the candidate has submitted the referral form prior to the interview (see attached form).
  1. The recommended / referred candidate has been interviewed by our management team.
  1. After the new employee has been employed by Hill for 90 days, the referral bonus is paid to the referrer through the payroll system (after probationary period and minus applicable taxes).

$500 USD Referral Bonus for all referred employees with annual salary below $25,000 (annual salary of the referred employee).

$1,000 USD Referral Bonus for all referred employees with annual salary above $25,000 (annual salary of the referred employee).

Employees are not eligible for referral bonus if the employee independently sourced the referred candidate via social networking, job boards and internet sites.

  1. Referral bonus does not apply if the referral has been an employee at Hill within the last 1 year.
  1. All referred CVs must be submitted electronically through Hill email along with the e-mail trail from the referred candidate. (Hard copies will not be accepted).
  1. In cases where a CV is provided by 2 different employees, the payment will be paid to whoever provided the referral first.
  1. The hiring manager is not eligible for the recommendation / referral bonus if the new hire will be in his/her group.
  1. Vice Presidents and above are not eligible to participate.
  1. All Hill Recruiters are not eligible to participate.
  1. The Referrer must be currently employed to receive the bonus.
