General Description of Role and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the entire infrastructure project lifecycle, ensuring adherence to project specifications, schedules, and budgets.
  • Coordinate and collaborate effectively with all stakeholders, including contractors, developers, consultants, and clients.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance throughout the project, ensuring compliance with design standards, regulations, and environmental requirements.
  • Establish performance benchmarks and monitor project progress, identifying and addressing potential issues promptly.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and documentation to track project progress, communicate key information, and ensure transparency.
  • Informs them of the relevant Quality, Environmental, Safety and Occupational Health Policies, Manuals and Procedures within Hill International and ensures continued compliance with these requirements while employed by Hill.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Line Manager / Supervisor.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited university (masters is preferred).
  • 15 years of experience with strong exposure to:
  • Marine reclamation
  • Coastal soil improvement
  • Embankments & surcharge densification
  • Groundwater control
  • Roadway + foundation geotechnics
  • Large-scale infrastructure platforms and artificial land development
  • Has experience in marine, dredging and land reclamation projects.
  • Proficiency in geotechnical analysis and design, using relevant software and methodologies.
  • Experience in preparing geotechnical reports and recommendations for clients and stakeholders.
  • Experience in project management, including scheduling, budgeting, and coordinating with other engineering disciplines.
  • Thorough understanding of soil mechanics, rock mechanics, and geotechnical engineering principles.
  • Familiarity with geological concepts, including stratigraphy, hydrology, and geomorphology.
  • Knowledge of geotechnical testing procedures and interpretation of test results.
  • Understanding of building codes, standards, and regulations related to geotechnical engineering.
  • Awareness of environmental considerations and sustainability practices in geotechnical projects.
  • Effective teamwork and collaboration skills to work harmoniously with other engineering professionals and construction teams.
  • Ability to adapt to changing project conditions and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of construction methods and procedures related to foundations and earthworks.
  • Ability to operate geotechnical field equipment and perform field tests.
