Hill International is looking for Commercial Manager with Cost Control experience in Abu Dhabi, UAE. T

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in developing initial high-level budget s-curves to provide a baseline against which project expenditure will be measured throughout the year.
  • Update, review and submit the Cost Trackers by the agreed due date.
  • Review Award Recommendation Reports, Variation orders and PCRs to ensure there is a clear understanding of the budgeted amount of each commitment, and a reflection of its cost impact in the Cost Trackers.
  • Executing Cost Controls Day to day tasks and provide the line manager with periodic reporting on four main areas: Budget reconciliation, Variances reports, Forecast cashflow, and Budget summary for PCRs and Early Warnings.
  • Providing accurate cost advice and reporting.
  • Assist in managing all downstream entity pertaining to cost
  • Review the cash flow forecast and confirm the amounts
  • Coordinate monthly Accruals with the site consultants and provide for the relevant department
  • Review and approve Consultants monthly Interim payment applications
  • Analysing project data efficiently
  • Assuming a leading role in setting objectives and priorities, working as a proactive team player
  • Maintaining effective communication to ensure all information is available for the successful completion of projects, liaising with other managers to ensure efficient financial control
  • Delivering all work outputs in an accurate and timely manner
  • Providing support to leaders in cost management of projects
  • Representing the company in a professional and diligent manner; meeting, negotiating and corresponding with external stakeholders to form strong working relationships

Requirements:

  • A minimum of twelve years technical delivery experience gained within a global consultancy firm
  • Pre and post-contract experience
  • Middle East experience
  • Good technical writing, client-facing and communication skills
  • Well-organised, diligent, proactive, assertive, well-disciplined and commercially astute
  • A team player with a can-do attitude, outgoing, polite, patient, diplomatic, personable, respectful and flexible
