Position Summary:

The LQ Yard HSE Supervisor (Offshore) oversees the development, implementation, and monitoring of health, safety, and environmental policies for offshore energy and oil & gas operations, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations. The role conducts inspections, audits, incident investigations, and emergency preparedness drills while providing guidance, training, and support to the yard team to maintain high HSE standards. It also coordinates with project managers and clients, monitors HSE performance, and implements continuous improvement measures to mitigate risks and enhance workplace safety.

General Description of Role and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HSE policies and procedures for the LQ Yard operations, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Provide guidance and support to the LQ Yard team on HSE matters, including training and awareness programs.
  • Investigate incidents and accidents, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Monitor and report on HSE performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with project managers and clients to ensure HSE requirements are met on all projects.
  • Develop emergency response plans and conduct drills to ensure preparedness in case of an emergency.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in HSE, and implement changes as necessary.
  • Manage and maintain HSE documentation and records.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in HSE management, preferably in the construction or oil and gas industry.
  • Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years hands-on experience in offshore projects.
  • Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and standards in the MENA and Europe regions.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement HSE policies and procedures.
  • Experience conducting HSE audits and inspections.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluent in English, with knowledge of Arabic or other European languages considered an asset.
