Position Overview:
Hill International is seeking a technically proficient and experienced MEP Manager to lead Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) design and construction coordination on complex infrastructure or building projects under a Project Management Consultancy (PMC) model. The MEP Manager will ensure MEP systems are designed and installed to meet performance, sustainability, and operational objectives in alignment with international standards and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the planning, coordination, and supervision of MEP systems design, installation, testing, and commissioning.

Review and approve design drawings, shop drawings, technical submittals, and material approvals.

Ensure compliance with project specifications, international codes (e.g., NFPA, ASHRAE, IEC), and local authority regulations.

Coordinate between MEP consultants, contractors, and other disciplines (civil, architectural, structural).

Manage and resolve MEP-related issues during design and construction phases.

Ensure the timely completion of MEP works in accordance with project milestones.

Oversee testing, commissioning, and handover of MEP systems to ensure full operational functionality.

Participate in value engineering exercises to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness of MEP systems.

Liaise with local utilities, civil defense, and authority agencies for permits, inspections, and compliance.

Prepare regular MEP progress reports and support risk identification and mitigation related to services.
Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Masters preferred).

Minimum 15 years of experience in MEP design and construction, with at least 5 years in a PMC or consultancy role.

Proven track record on large-scale commercial, infrastructure, or mixed-use projects in the Middle East.

In-depth understanding of building systems, energy efficiency, and smart technologies.

Experience in managing large MEP contractors and consultants.
Key Skills & Competencies:

Strong leadership and coordination capabilities

Excellent understanding of HVAC, power distribution, ELV, fire protection, and plumbing systems

High level of attention to detail and technical documentation

Effective communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills

Familiarity with BIM tools and MEP coordination software (e.g., Revit, Navisworks)
