Position Summary:

MEP Manager responsible for leading the planning, design, installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems on PMC projects. The role ensures compliance with project specifications, international codes, and local regulations while coordinating between consultants, contractors, and other disciplines. Oversees MEP progress, resolves technical issues, manages contractors, and supports risk mitigation, value engineering, and successful handover of fully operational systems.

General Description of Role and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, coordination, and supervision of MEP systems design, installation, testing, and commissioning.

  • Review and approve design drawings, shop drawings, technical submittals, and material approvals.

  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, international codes (e.g., NFPA, ASHRAE, IEC), and local authority regulations.

  • Coordinate between MEP consultants, contractors, and other disciplines (civil, architectural, structural).

  • Manage and resolve MEP-related issues during design and construction phases.

  • Ensure the timely completion of MEP works in accordance with project milestones.

  • Oversee testing, commissioning, and handover of MEP systems to ensure full operational functionality.

  • Participate in value engineering exercises to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness of MEP systems.

  • Liaise with local utilities, civil defense, and authority agencies for permits, inspections, and compliance.

  • Prepare regular MEP progress reports and support risk identification and mitigation related to services.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Masters preferred).

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in MEP design and construction, with at least 5 years in a PMC or consultancy role.

  • Proven track record on large-scale commercial, infrastructure, or mixed-use projects in the Middle East.

  • In-depth understanding of building systems, energy efficiency, and smart technologies.

  • Experience in managing large MEP contractors and consultants.

  • Strong leadership and coordination capabilities

  • Excellent understanding of HVAC, power distribution, ELV, fire protection, and plumbing systems

  • High level of attention to detail and technical documentation

  • Effective communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills

  • Familiarity with BIM tools and MEP coordination software (e.g., Revit, Navisworks)
