Position Summary:
The Senior Document Controller will oversee the document control operations for large construction supervision projects, ensuring all project records are accurately maintained, systematically organized, and securely stored. This role is key to ensuring smooth information flow between clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
General Description of Role and Responsibilities:

Manage the document control system and ensure proper filing, indexing, and retrieval of project documents.

Receive, review, log, distribute, and track all incoming and outgoing project documents such as drawings, RFIs, submittals, transmittals, letters, and reports.

Maintain the project document register, ensuring that documentation is complete, current, and complies with project protocols.

Ensure all document control procedures comply with project, company, and client requirements.

Train, guide, and supervise junior document controllers and administrative staff on best practices and document control standards.

Coordinate with project managers and discipline leads to ensure timely submission and response to project documentation.

Generate regular reports (e.g., submittal logs, correspondence logs, overdue reports) for senior management and client teams.

Manage document flow using EDMS (Electronic Document Management Systems) such as Aconex, Primavera Contract Management, or SharePoint.

Ensure version control and secure backup of all controlled documents.

Education: Diploma or Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Information Management, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum 12 years of experience in document control, with at least 5 years in a senior capacity on major construction supervision projects in the Middle East.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
