Position Overview:

The Resident Engineer (RE) acts as the primary on-site technical representative responsible for supervising construction works to ensure compliance with design, specifications, and contractual obligations. The RE supports the Senior Resident Engineer in managing day-to-day construction activities, quality assurance, and coordination between contractors, consultants, and the client.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor construction works to ensure they meet contract drawings, specifications, and standards.

  • Assist in reviewing contractor submittals, method statements, and work schedules.

  • Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks.

  • Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and client representatives to resolve technical and operational issues.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of site activities, progress reports, and site instructions.

  • Ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance on-site.

  • Support progress monitoring, reporting, and scheduling activities.

  • Assist in contract administration tasks, including claims and variations documentation.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field.

  • Minimum 15 years of construction supervision experience, preferably in infrastructure or building projects.

  • Familiarity with local construction standards and practices in the Middle East is an advantage.

  • Good understanding of contract documentation, quality control, and site safety.

  • Proficient in MS Office and project management software.

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
