Position Overview:
The Resident Engineer (RE) acts as the primary on-site technical representative responsible for supervising construction works to ensure compliance with design, specifications, and contractual obligations. The RE supports the Senior Resident Engineer in managing day-to-day construction activities, quality assurance, and coordination between contractors, consultants, and the client.
Key Responsibilities:

Monitor construction works to ensure they meet contract drawings, specifications, and standards.

Assist in reviewing contractor submittals, method statements, and work schedules.

Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks.

Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and client representatives to resolve technical and operational issues.

Maintain accurate documentation of site activities, progress reports, and site instructions.

Ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance on-site.

Support progress monitoring, reporting, and scheduling activities.

Assist in contract administration tasks, including claims and variations documentation.
Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field.

Minimum 15 years of construction supervision experience, preferably in infrastructure or building projects.

Familiarity with local construction standards and practices in the Middle East is an advantage.

Good understanding of contract documentation, quality control, and site safety.

Proficient in MS Office and project management software.
