Inspector Electrical

General Description of Role and Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular inspections of electrical installations, including power distribution, lighting, cabling, fire alarms, and related systems.
• Verify that electrical works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, and applicable codes and standards.
• Identify non-conformances and quality issues, report findings, and ensure that corrective actions are implemented.
• Review and approve electrical shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements.
• Witness testing, commissioning, and installation of electrical systems to ensure proper functionality and compliance.
• Maintain accurate inspection records, prepare daily progress reports, and document any discrepancies.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and project engineers to resolve technical issues and maintain project progress.
• Monitor adherence to local regulations, safety standards, and quality assurance procedures.
• Participate in project meetings and provide technical input on electrical works.
• Assist in final inspections, snagging, and project handover, including verifying as-built documentation.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

• Diploma or bachelors degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical inspection within large-scale construction projects, preferably in the UAE.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, installations, and relevant industry standards (e.g., NEC, IEC).
• Proficiency in inspection tools and software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Office).
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
