General Description of Role and Responsibilities:

The BIM Engineer will be responsible for implementing Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes and technologies across hospitality and commercial construction projects. Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with project teams to develop and implement BIM execution plans (BEPs) that align with project requirements and client expectations.
  • Managing the creation, coordination, and maintenance of BIM models and data throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct audit / review for clash detection performed by Consultants / D&B Contractors and assist in the overall clash detection and coordination process to resolve design conflicts and optimize project efficiency.
  • Integrating BIM with other project management software and systems to facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration and data exchange.
  • Providing training and technical support to project teams on BIM software and workflows.
  • Ensuring compliance with BIM standards, protocols, and industry best practices.
  • Performing quality control checks on BIM models and data to maintain accuracy and consistency.
  • Keeping abreast of BIM technology advancements and recommending implementation strategies.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Approximately 8 years of progressive experience in BIM engineering or related roles within the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in BIM software such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and BIM 360.
  • Strong understanding of BIM standards (e.g., ISO 19650) and workflows.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience within a Project Management Consultancy or similar organization is advantageous.
