General Description of Role and Responsibilities:

  • Acting as Lead Engineer for construction management of passenger terminal building by applying principles of civil engineering. Coordinating with other disciplines as required.
  • Review preparation of the design specifications, cost estimates and tender packages for airport.
  • Must have knowledge of civil and structural engineering principles, particularly for steel reinforcement detailing, cast in situ concrete, precast concrete structures etc
  • Provide engineering services during construction activities by reviewing shop drawings for conformance with specifications; prepares records and progress reports defining construction progress; construction observation and evaluates the results from quality control testing.
  • Assist and oversee the development and preparation of figures, quantity take-offs, technical reports, design briefs etc.
  • Perform field inspections of construction on daily basis, to ensure that the approved design is being executed by the contractor.
  • Support project controls team and monitor progress, along with verification of contractors monthly progress report.
  • Must be capable to supervise site execution with responsibility.
  • Resolve specialty related infrastructure issues by applying accepted principles, codes and standards
  • Must have thorough knowledge of infrastructure and building practices.
  • Ensure successful delivery of projects by co-coordinating cross-discipline interface.
  • Maintain and develop client, interface, and contractor relationships.
  • Conduct briefings/reports and presentations as appropriate.
  • Review the Civil/Structural shop drawings, material submittals, pre-qualifications, and technical calculations alongside method statements, ITPs, and Quality Checklists for acceptance.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • Minimum 12-year experience including 5 years in PMC on large-scale projects. Experience of large Programs/projects, preferably in aviation sector or similar
  • Excellent communication skills & the ability to interface with internal design teams & clients.
  • Sound report writing skills.
  • Ability to cope rapidly with challenging situations and keen to solve them in a proactive manner.
