Position Summary:
The Senior HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining HSE policies and procedures on major construction projects. The role ensures compliance with local regulations, client requirements, and international safety standards to create a safe working environment and minimize risks.
General Description of Role and Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and monitor site-specific HSE plans and programs in line with regulatory requirements and company policies.

Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with HSE standards.

Investigate incidents and accidents, lead root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive measures.

Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and training sessions to promote HSE awareness among all personnel.

Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities on HSE matters.

Prepare and submit HSE reports, statistics, and documentation as required by project management and regulatory bodies.

Promote a safety culture and encourage proactive reporting of hazards and near misses.

Ensure environmental compliance, including waste management and pollution control measures on-site.

Bachelors degree in Safety Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health, or related field.

Minimum 15 years of experience in HSE roles within the construction industry, with at least 5 years in supervisory or senior positions.

In-depth knowledge of Middle East HSE regulations, OSHA, NEBOSH, ISO 45001, and other relevant standards.

Proven track record of implementing successful HSE programs on large construction projects.
Strong leadership and communication skills.

Ability to conduct thorough risk assessments and incident investigations.

Proficient in HSE management systems and software.

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Ability to work effectively in multicultural environments.

Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are a plus.
