Position Summary:

Hill International is seeking a skilled Senior Land Surveyor to supervise, verify, and coordinate all surveying activities on-site. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring accuracy in the layout, levels, and dimensions in line with design specifications and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and verify all survey work performed by contractors to ensure compliance with project specifications and approved drawings.

  • Review and validate control points, benchmarks, and setting-out data.

  • Conduct site inspections and spot checks on survey activities for accuracy and compliance.

  • Coordinate with the design and construction teams to resolve discrepancies in levels, alignments, or coordinates.

  • Maintain survey logs, records, and data files, ensuring they are updated, accurate, and traceable.

  • Prepare and review as-built drawings and survey reports for accuracy and completeness.

  • Assist in preparing technical input related to land/topographic surveys, geodetic control, and site measurements.

  • Support in the evaluation of contractor claims related to setting out and quantity discrepancies.

  • Ensure proper use, calibration, and maintenance of surveying instruments and equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Geomatics, Surveying Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

  • Experience: Minimum 1015 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years in a senior surveyor role on large-scale construction projects in the Middle East.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficient in using Total Stations, GPS, Digital Levels, and AutoCAD/Civil 3D.

    • Strong understanding of geodetic principles, topographic mapping, and coordinate systems used in the GCC.

  • Certifications: Membership in a professional surveying organization is an advantage.

  • Languages: English fluency is essential; Arabic is a plus.
