Position Summary:
The Document Control Manager leads the development and implementation of the Document Control Plan, ensuring all project documents are properly registered, classified, archived, and traceable in compliance with client requirements and industry standards. They manage the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS), supervise a team of document controllers, and coordinate with consultants, contractors, and clients to ensure timely and accurate document submissions. The role also includes monitoring review cycles, conducting audits, generating reports, supporting project closeout, and providing training on document control processes and systems.
General Description of Role and Responsibilities:

Develop and implement the Document Control Plan (DCP) in accordance with client requirements and industry best practices.

Set up, manage, and maintain the projects Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) such as Aconex, PMWeb, SharePoint, or similar platforms.

Ensure that all incoming and outgoing documents are properly registered, classified, and archived.

Define document workflows, version control standards, metadata structures, and user access protocols.

Supervise a team of document controllers and ensure adherence to project-wide documentation procedures.

Liaise with consultants, contractors, and client representatives to ensure accurate and timely submission of deliverables.

Conduct regular document audits and ensure the integrity and traceability of project documentation.

Monitor document review cycles, coordinate approvals, and generate progress and compliance reports.

Support quality assurance, claims, and project closeout by maintaining a complete and organized document archive.

Train project stakeholders on document control systems, tools, and processes.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

Bachelors degree in Engineering, Information Management, Business Administration, or related field.

Minimum 12 years of document control experience in large-scale infrastructure or construction projects, including 5+ years in a PMC or consultancy environment.

Proficient in the use of EDMS platforms such as Aconex, PMWeb, Procore, or similar systems.

Solid understanding of ISO 9001 and document control standards and processes.
Excellent organizational and communication skills
