General Description of Role and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct traffic impact assessments, traffic flow analyses, and safety studies to understand transportation needs and identify potential issues.
  • Design transportation infrastructure, including roadways, intersections, traffic signals, and pedestrian facilities, while considering factors like capacity, safety, and sustainability.
  • Work on public transit projects, including bus rapid transit (BRT) and light rail systems, to improve mass transit options and reduce traffic congestion.
  • Optimize traffic signal timing to improve traffic flow, reduce congestion, and enhance safety.
  • Develop parking management plans and strategies to optimize parking utilization in urban areas.
  • Use transportation modeling software to simulate and predict traffic behavior and make data-driven decisions.
  • Consider environmental impacts and work on projects that reduce the carbon footprint of transportation systems.
  • Identify and implement safety measures, such as road design modifications and traffic calming, to reduce accidents.
  • Work closely with government agencies, municipalities, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure projects align with community needs and goals.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal transportation regulations and standards.
  • Estimate project costs, prepare budgets, and assist with financial planning for transportation projects.
  • Prepare detailed reports, plans, and technical documents for project proposals, permitting, and public presentations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the client and the line manager.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Bachelors degree in civil engineering, Construction Management or equivalent.
  • A postgraduate degree in Engineering or an MBA will be considered a plus.
  • At least 10+ years of experience working on large scale green field infrastructure development projects.
  • Ideally, a combination of Development experience and more traditional PMO experience.
  • PMP, PMI, CIOB or equivalent certification is strongly preferred.
  • Strong track record in delivering projects in a fast-moving and challenging environment.
  • Proven experience in building & infrastructure and leading high-performing teams.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
