General Description of Role and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates the administration of the prime contract and subcontracts on different projects.
  • Ensures that the award and administration of contracts on projects are carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Monitors the performance of awarded subcontracts, checking and agreeing on the accuracy of monthly payment applications during the life of the subcontract and at the completion of the work.
  • Reviews the accuracy and adequacy of the contract and its integral documents, such as BOQs, VO, change order and specifications.
  • Formulates change orders to existing subcontracts for changes in scope and/or pricing.
  • To assist in reviewing and settling any claims that subcontractors may raise.
  • To assist in contract aspects for planning management.
  • Review payment certification.
  • Prepares variation change to change controls.
  • Define process regulations up to change impact.
  • Monitors on claim submittal.
  • Articulate and manages all contract details.

Qualification, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Must have Bachelors Degree in Quantity Surveying from a reputable University.
  • Technical and practical knowledge of all phases of contract development, award, administration and close-out relating to a multi-discipline construction project.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in quantity survey functions for contracting industry operations.
  • Knowledgeable of current industry and technical developments.
  • Formal qualifications/affiliations to RICS, IQS, ICES or CIOB.
  • Strong working knowledge of administering FIDIC or ICE and other similar contract formulation standards.
  • Proven track record with recognized international standard companies, particularly in Middle East operations and projects, preferably in KSA.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with excellent command of English.
  • Excellent communication skills in Arabic, especially in dealing with Arabic Contracts
  • Capability to accept responsibilities and accomplish project objectives in a timely manner.
  • Supervision level experience in the field of quantity survey and contract administration.
  • Computer literate, especially with Microsoft Word and Excel.
