General Description of Role and Responsibilities:

The Building Management System (BMS) Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing BMS solutions for large hotels and hospitality environments. This role requires a deep understanding of BMS technology, HVAC systems, and energy management, combined with significant experience in the hospitality sector. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, other engineering disciplines, and clients to deliver effective and efficient BMS solutions.

• Lead and manage BMS projects from design through to implementation and commissioning, with a focus on large hotels and hospitality environments.
• Develop and implement BMS strategies to optimize building performance and energy efficiency.
• Design and configure BMS hardware and software to meet project specifications and client requirements.
• Conduct system integration and ensure compatibility with HVAC, lighting, and other building systems.
• Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and validation to ensure optimal functionality.
• Provide technical support and guidance to project teams, clients, and other stakeholders.
• Prepare and review BMS design documents, drawings, and specifications.
• Coordinate with architects, mechanical and electrical engineers, and other disciplines to integrate BMS solutions.
• Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure proper installation and operation of BMS systems.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to achieve project objectives.
• Mentor and supervise junior BMS engineers and technical staff.
• Participate in business development activities, including proposal preparation and client presentations.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. A Masters degree is preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) or Chartered Engineer (CEng) status is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in BMS engineering, with a strong background in large hotels and hospitality projects.
• Extensive knowledge of BMS technology, HVAC systems, and energy management principles.
• Proficiency in BMS software such as Tridium, Johnson Controls, Siemens, or similar.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Valid drivers license and willingness to travel as required.
