Position Summary:
Project Director – Construction Supervision responsible for leading all construction supervision activities across project stages, ensuring compliance with contracts, specifications, and regulatory requirements. The role manages resident engineers, discipline leads, and support staff while monitoring contractor performance, quality, budget, and HSE compliance. Acts as the primary client liaison, oversees approvals, resolves disputes, mitigates risks, and provides strategic leadership and reporting to ensure successful project delivery.
General Description of Role and Responsibilities:
- Lead construction supervision operations across all project stages, ensuring full compliance with the contract documents, technical specifications, and regulatory requirements.

Act as the primary point of contact with the client, representing Hill in all matters related to project execution.

Oversee and direct resident engineers, discipline leads, and support staff to ensure performance and productivity targets are met.

Monitor contractor performance and progress, ensuring adherence to timelines, budget, quality control, and HSE policies.

Approve technical submittals, shop drawings, method statements, RFIs, variation orders, and monthly valuations.

Manage stakeholder communications, resolve disputes, and mitigate risks through proactive leadership and decision-making.

Prepare and deliver progress reports, executive dashboards, and risk assessments to senior management and client representatives.

Provide leadership, coaching, and strategic oversight to ensure team development and adherence to Hills best practices in construction management.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture (Masters degree preferred).

Experience: Minimum 20 years of construction supervision experience, with at least 10 years in a senior management/director role on large-scale infrastructure or building projects in the Middle East.

Project Type Experience: Proven leadership on major projects in sectors such as airports, rail, highways, real estate developments, government complexes, or hospitality.

Regional Knowledge: Familiarity with Gulf regulatory frameworks, authorities approval processes, and regional construction practices.

Contracts: Strong experience with FIDIC-based contracts and contract administration.

Certifications: PMP, Chartered Engineer (CEng), or equivalent professional accreditation is highly preferred.

Languages: English fluency is required; Arabic proficiency is a plus.
