Position Overview:
Hill International is seeking a capable and experienced Construction Manager to oversee site-based construction activities on large-scale infrastructure or building projects under a Project Management Consultancy (PMC) framework. The role involves managing contractor performance, coordinating multidisciplinary site teams, and ensuring safe and timely delivery in line with project specifications and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee day-to-day site construction activities and ensure works are executed in line with approved drawings, specifications, and schedule.

Monitor and manage contractor activities, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and quality standards.

Review and provide feedback on method statements, risk assessments, and inspection and test plans (ITPs).

Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.

Coordinate site interfaces between contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and utility providers.

Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks; identify and resolve site issues promptly.

Track construction progress, prepare daily/weekly reports, and flag deviations from the plan.

Attend site coordination meetings and participate in resolving technical or construction-related challenges.

Support the Senior Construction Manager and wider PMC team with documentation, claims review, and stakeholder coordination.
Qualifications & Experience:
-
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.

Minimum 15 years of construction experience, with at least 5 years in a management role on major infrastructure/building projects.

Previous experience in a PMC or consultancy role on high-value projects in the Middle East is highly preferred.

Strong working knowledge of construction techniques, materials, logistics, and local regulations.

Familiarity with international standards such as FIDIC and ISO.
