Position Summary:
The Senior Quantity Surveyor oversees post-contract commercial and cost management on site, ensuring compliance with contracts and cost efficiency. They manage contractor payments, variations, claims, and cost forecasts while providing recommendations on disputes and claims. Additionally, they support the project team and client in commercial decision-making, contract administration, and cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
General Description of Role and Responsibilities:
- Manage post-contract quantity surveying functions on site, ensuring contract compliance and cost efficiency.

Administer and manage all contractual correspondence, variation orders, claims, and interim/final payment certificates.

Evaluate and validate contractors progress payments, cost forecasts, and change order requests.

Review and analyze contractor claims (EOT, cost impact, disruption), and prepare recommendations.

Prepare cost reports and maintain effective cost control systems throughout the project lifecycle.

Support project team and client in resolving contractual and commercial issues.

Participate in tender reviews, cost comparisons, and commercial evaluations as needed.

Ensure compliance with FIDIC or bespoke contract forms and support contract close-out procedures.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

Education: Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field (MRICS or equivalent certification preferred).

Experience: Minimum 15 years of post-qualification experience, with at least 5 years in a similar senior role on large construction projects in the Middle East.

Project Background: Experience with large-scale infrastructure, commercial, mixed-use, or government-funded projects.

Skills: Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills; proficient in MS Excel and cost management software
