Position Summary:

Hill International is building a talent pool of professionals for wet utilities construction projects across the Middle East. If you have experience in the design, construction, or management of wet utilities infrastructure, we want to hear from you. These projects will include the development and installation of essential wet utilities systems, including water distribution, sewage systems, stormwater drainage, and associated infrastructure for urban, residential, and commercial developments. We are seeking talented professionals across various disciplines to join our talent pool for both current and future wet utilities construction projects.

General Description of Role and Responsibilities:

Design and Construction Roles

  • Water Engineers: Specializing in the design and construction of potable water systems, ensuring efficient water distribution and pressure management.
  • Sewerage Engineers: Focusing on the design and construction of sewerage systems, ensuring proper waste management and wastewater treatment systems.
  • Stormwater Engineers: Responsible for designing and implementing stormwater drainage systems, ensuring proper runoff management and minimizing flood risks.
  • Civil Engineers: Overseeing the infrastructure development of wet utilities systems, including water, sewage, and stormwater networks, ensuring safe, durable, and efficient construction practices.
  • Piping Engineers: Designing and constructing the piping infrastructure for water, sewage, and stormwater systems to ensure durability, safety, and operational efficiency.
  • Quantity Surveyors / Cost Engineers: Handling cost estimations, budgets, and procurement for wet utilities projects, ensuring financial control and cost-effectiveness throughout the project.

Project and Construction Management Roles

  • Project Directors: Leading wet utilities projects, overseeing budgets, schedules, and ensuring the successful delivery of large-scale infrastructure works.
  • Project Managers: Managing day-to-day construction activities, overseeing teams, contractors, and schedules to ensure the timely completion of wet utilities projects.
  • Construction Managers: Supervising the construction process, ensuring quality control, safety, and timely delivery of wet utilities infrastructure.
  • Planning Managers: Creating and managing detailed project schedules, ensuring all phases of the wet utilities construction project are completed on time and efficiently.
  • Procurement Managers: Managing procurement processes to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials, services, and equipment needed for wet utilities projects.
  • Contract Managers: Handling contracts, ensuring compliance with terms, and overseeing commercial negotiations.

Sustainability and Facilities Management Roles

  • Sustainability Managers: Ensuring that wet utilities infrastructure meets sustainability standards, focusing on water conservation, energy efficiency, and environmental impact reduction.
  • Facilities Managers: Overseeing the ongoing operation and maintenance of wet utilities systems, ensuring functionality and longevity.
  • Water Treatment Managers: Overseeing the design, installation, and maintenance of water treatment systems, ensuring water quality standards are met.

Cross-functional Roles

  • Health and Safety Managers: Ensuring compliance with safety regulations on-site and across all stages of the wet utilities construction process, including risk assessments and safety protocols.
  • IT Infrastructure Managers: Managing the integration of smart technologies into wet utilities systems, such as automated metering, monitoring systems, and building management systems.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proven experience in large-scale wet utilities projects, including water distribution systems, sewerage systems, and stormwater drainage networks.
  • Expertise in wet utilities system design, construction, and operations.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Project Management certifications, Engineering qualifications, Sustainability certifications) are highly desirable.
  • Ability to work in dynamic environments and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
