Position Overview:

The Senior Quality Engineer will be responsible for leading and managing quality control and assurance activities on large-scale construction projects. This role ensures that all construction processes and materials meet the specified quality standards, client requirements, and regulatory compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor quality control and quality assurance plans in line with project specifications and international standards (ISO, ASTM, BS).

  • Supervise and coordinate on-site quality inspections, testing, and audits of materials, workmanship, and construction activities.

  • Review and approve quality documentation, including inspection and test plans (ITPs), quality manuals, and non-conformance reports (NCRs).

  • Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, laboratories, and consultants to ensure compliance with quality standards.

  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions for quality deviations and non-conformities.

  • Prepare detailed quality reports and maintain accurate records for client and regulatory submission.

  • Conduct training and awareness programs on quality standards and procedures for project teams.

  • Support management during internal and external audits and inspections.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in quality management in construction projects, preferably with at least 5 years in supervisory roles.

  • In-depth knowledge of construction materials, testing standards, and quality systems.

  • Experience with quality standards such as ISO 9001 and relevant industry-specific standards.

  • Strong knowledge of Middle East construction regulations and standards is preferred.

  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.

  • Ability to analyze complex data and prepare comprehensive reports.

  • Proficiency in quality management software and MS Office.

  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to project demands.
