General Description of Role and Responsibilities:

  • Contributes to preparing project QA/QC procedures.
  • Consults with other discipline leaders to ensure the smooth flow of vital information necessary for scheduled completion of construction.
  • Arranges support for the needs of other discipline leads for input to their efforts.
  • Supports the construction management team during construction and commissioning.
  • Provides advice concerning design or scope changes identified for review.
  • Regularly visits the site to inspect the utility installation progress and identify non-conformances. Provide utility related insight on construction issues.
  • Arrange regular meetings with the contractor to review progress on utility submittals and site issues.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university.
  • Fluent in English and Arabic
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in comprehensive mega projects Job role includes taking overall responsibility for Electrical Engineer on mega projects.
  • Technical Regulations and Standards Familiarity with applicable regulations, industry standards, and best practices related to utility engineering.
  • Engineering Principles Strong grasp of engineering principles, including hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, and mechanical systems.
  • Problem-solving Exceptional problem-solving skills to identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues related to utility systems.
  • Analytical Strong analytical skills to evaluate data, identify trends, and optimize system performance.
  • Communication Effective written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with diverse teams, present technical information clearly, and interact with stakeholders.
  • Project Management Ability to manage projects effectively, plan and schedule tasks, track progress, and meet deadlines.
  • Informs themselves of the relevant Quality, Environmental, Safety and Occupational Health Policies, Manuals and Procedures within Hill International and ensures continued compliance with these requirements while employed by Hill.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager/supervisor.
