Position Overview:
The Assistant Resident Engineer (ARE) supports the Resident Engineer and the construction supervision team in monitoring and managing on-site construction activities. The role focuses on ensuring that construction work complies with project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements. The ARE acts as a key liaison between contractors, consultants, and client representatives to help facilitate smooth project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist in monitoring daily construction operations to ensure adherence to contract drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

Review contractor submittals, method statements, and work schedules under supervision.

Conduct regular site inspections and document findings, including identification of non-conformances.

Support progress tracking and assist in preparing reports, including daily site logs and progress updates.

Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and client representatives to resolve technical or operational issues.

Assist in ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies on site.

Maintain accurate records of site activities, changes, and correspondence.

Support the Resident Engineer in contract administration tasks, including claims and variations.

Participate in site meetings and document minutes as required.
Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
Minimum 10 years of experience in construction supervision or engineering roles.

Experience working on infrastructure, building, or civil engineering projects preferred.

Familiarity with Middle East construction standards and practices is an advantage.

Proficiency in MS Office; experience with project management or scheduling software is a plus.
