Position Summary:

Contracts Manager responsible for overseeing the full contract lifecycle on major projects delivered under a Project Management Consultancy (PMC) model. The role focuses on FIDIC-based contract administration, management of variations and claims, and mitigation of contractual and commercial risks. Works closely with project leadership, clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to support procurement and ensure effective contract performance.

General Description of Role and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full lifecycle of project contracts including drafting, review, negotiation, and execution.
  • Ensure contracts are administered in line with FIDIC and other relevant standards.
  • Coordinate with legal, commercial, and project teams to resolve contractual issues.
  • Manage variations, extensions of time, claims, and dispute resolution processes.
  • Maintain accurate contract records and documentation.
  • Advise project leadership on contractual risks and opportunities.
  • Support procurement processes related to contract awards and subcontractor management.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders on contract matters.
  • Prepare regular contract status reports and presentations for senior management.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Bachelors degree in Law, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 1015 years of contract management experience on large-scale construction projects.
  • Experience in PMC, consultancy, or client-side roles preferred, especially in the Middle East.
  • Strong knowledge of international contract forms, especially FIDIC.
  • Proven ability to manage claims and disputes effectively.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple contracts and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work within multidisciplinary teams.
