Position Overview:
Hill International is seeking a results-driven and experienced Construction Director to lead all on-site construction management activities on a major project under a Project Management Consultancy (PMC) model. The Construction Director will be responsible for ensuring that the works are executed safely, to the highest quality, within budget, and in accordance with the project schedule.
This is a leadership role requiring strategic oversight of multiple work streams and coordination between contractors, consultants, and the client.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead all aspects of construction execution across the project site, ensuring safe, timely, and quality-focused delivery.

Direct and manage the supervision teams, including resident engineers, inspectors, HSE, and quality personnel.

Interface regularly with the client, contractors, and stakeholders to report progress and resolve issues.

Monitor and enforce safety compliance across all site activities in alignment with HSE regulations.

Review and approve contractors method statements, ITPs, construction programs, and risk assessments.

Oversee construction sequencing and logistics, identify potential bottlenecks, and implement corrective measures.

Ensure that works are delivered in compliance with contract documents, specifications, and regulatory requirements.

Conduct regular site meetings and inspections, ensuring adherence to agreed quality standards.

Review progress reports, resolve technical challenges, and contribute to decision-making on construction matters.

Support project controls teams in tracking schedule progress and analyzing delays or changes.
Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.

Masters degree is an advantage.

Minimum 25 years of experience in the construction industry, with at least 10 years in senior construction management roles.

Proven track record of delivering large-scale infrastructure or building projects, preferably under PMC in the Middle East.

Strong knowledge of international standards (FIDIC, ISO), regional construction regulations, and best practices.

Experience managing multiple contractors, fast-track programs, and complex logistics.
