Position Summary:
The Construction Director leads all on-site construction activities, ensuring safe, timely, and high-quality delivery of the project. They manage supervision teams, coordinate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders, and oversee construction sequencing, logistics, and compliance with contract documents and regulations. Additionally, they support project controls, resolve technical and operational challenges, and ensure adherence to HSE, quality, and international construction standards throughout the project lifecycle.
General Description of Role and Responsibilities:

Lead all aspects of construction execution across the project site, ensuring safe, timely, and quality-focused delivery.

Direct and manage the supervision teams, including resident engineers, inspectors, HSE, and quality personnel.

Interface regularly with the client, contractors, and stakeholders to report progress and resolve issues.

Monitor and enforce safety compliance across all site activities in alignment with HSE regulations.

Review and approve contractors method statements, ITPs, construction programs, and risk assessments.

Oversee construction sequencing and logistics, identify potential bottlenecks, and implement corrective measures.

Ensure that works are delivered in compliance with contract documents, specifications, and regulatory requirements.

Conduct regular site meetings and inspections, ensuring adherence to agreed quality standards.

Review progress reports, resolve technical challenges, and contribute to decision-making on construction matters.

Support project controls teams in tracking schedule progress and analyzing delays or changes.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.

Masters degree is an advantage.

Minimum 25 years of experience in the construction industry, with at least 10 years in senior construction management roles.

Proven track record of delivering large-scale infrastructure or building projects, preferably under PMC in the Middle East.

Strong knowledge of international standards (FIDIC, ISO), regional construction regulations, and best practices.

Experience managing multiple contractors, fast-track programs, and complex logistics.
Strong leadership and team management skills.

Excellent communication and coordination abilities.

Decisive, analytical, and able to resolve complex construction challenges.

Proficient in construction planning, project controls, and documentation review.

High-level HSE and quality awareness.
