Position Overview: We are actively seeking an adept and seasoned Director of Tax to join our Dallas team. This pivotal role involves spearheading our tax department, offering strategic direction, fostering client relationships, and ensuring adherence to tax laws and regulations.

Primary Duties:

1. Lead and oversee the tax department, encompassing tax planning, compliance, and advisory services across individuals, businesses, and organizations.

2. Devise and execute tax strategies aimed at minimizing tax burdens and optimizing financial outcomes for clients.

3. Provide expert guidance on intricate tax matters, including mergers, international tax, state and local tax, and tax disputes.

4. Stay abreast of tax law changes and industry shifts to advise clients and ensure compliance.

5. Cultivate enduring client connections, serving as a trusted advisor and delivering top-tier service.

6. Mentor and supervise tax personnel, nurturing their professional growth and development.

7. Foster collaboration across departments to deliver cohesive solutions aligned with broader business objectives.

8. Engage in business development endeavors, including networking and proposal preparation, to expand client base and service offerings.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA certification is preferred.

2. 8-10 years of progressive tax accounting experience, including 3-5 years in leadership roles.

3. Robust understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.

4. Proficiency in tax planning, compliance, and advisory services.

5. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

6. Demonstrated leadership skills with a talent for team motivation and management.

7. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client management capabilities.

8. Capacity to thrive in a dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

9. Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
