Position: Survey and Geospatial Practice Market Leader
Location: Nashville, TN
Duration: Fulltime Permanent
Salary: DOE
This position is responsible for overseeing the planning and directing of a specific practice sector within the surveying or geospatial group. This role requires oversight of staff and leading geographic and service area growth objectives.
Responsibilities
- Establish strong client relationships and actively participate in business development
- Oversee performance of market practice through profitability, budget control, AR/unbilled, WIP, and more
- Assist in developing annual business plan projections specific to market
- Oversee metrics and performance for the practice against the business plan
- Assist Practice Leaders in managing staff, staff capacity, utilization, and projections
- Assist Practice Leaders in establishing and implementing standard policies and procedures
- Evaluate hiring needs and hire top-tier talent
- Establish and maintain an effective system of communication throughout the practice
- Delegate authority to the Practice Leaders and ensure effective performance of all assigned functions
- Maintain professionalism, morale, and equity within the practice
- Maintain an active role in building community relationships
- Additional related duties as needed
Qualifications - 15+ years of experience in land surveying
- 5+ years of managerial experience within geospatial and land surveying
- Expert knowledge in the practice area
- Effective internal and external communication skills
- Professional Land Surveyor license in the United States is a plus
