Key Responsibilities: 

  • Apply the principles of electrical and electronic theory and related experience to design, program and troubleshoot state of the art packaging machinery.
  • Read and troubleshoot ladder logic within motion controls. including programming of servo drives (AB).
  • Use expertise to problem-solve design issues in a team environment.
  • Customize program features based on customer specifications.
  • Run initial commissioning of machines using the developed program. Debugging any issues that may occur during initial testing.
  • Collaborate with team on research and development projects that could be implemented on future projects.
  • Support Customer Service with programming of replacement components on an as needed basis.
  • Create wiring schematic, program diagrams, and complete bill of materials.

Qualifications: 

Education: 

  • Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience in capital equipment design and service.

Required: 

  • 2-4 years of related electrical design experience.
  • Proficient in the use of CAD software for electrical design documentation utilizing SolidWorks Electrical, AutoCAD or similar system.
  • In-depth understanding of PLC hardware, software platforms, and HMI programming.
  • Experience in programming of Allen-Bradley PLCs or CODESYS PLC systems (Bosch RexRoth preferred, Siemens, Beckhoff, etc.)
  • Experienced in IEC programming languages, Ladder logic, Function blocks and Structured text.
  • Valid drivers license and ability to travel, up to 20%, including internationally.


Preferred: 

  • Web development skills such as, HTML, Java Script, CSS, SQL, Python and Visual basics.
