About the job Social Content Marketer
The Role
Everyone can post. Very few people can make something people actually stop for — and even fewer can make that thing drive real business outcomes.
That's the job. You'll own HeyMax's social presence end-to-end: what we make, who we make it with, and how it turns scrollers into members. You're not running a content calendar for the sake of a content calendar. Every post has a job — build the brand, drive consideration, convert to HeyMax and HeyMax First.
You'll shoot and cut your own videos, not wait on an agency. You'll find and manage the creators who tell our story better than we can. And you'll know — from the data and from your gut — what's working and what needs to die.
We're in the miles-and-points world. It's a space with real fans, real travel obsessives, and real opinions. If you're already one of them, this role will feel like it was written for you.
What You'll Own
- Own the content, not just the calendar — set the direction for what HeyMax makes across IG/FB and YouTube Shorts. You decide the formats, the series, the hooks, the angles
- Tell the story that makes people care — turn miles, points, and redemptions into content people share. Make a business travel hack feel like a life upgrade
- Run the creator programme — find them, brief them, negotiate with them, manage them, and know which ones actually move numbers versus which ones just look good
- Connect content to conversion — track what drives consideration and sign-ups. Know which content converts to HeyMax and HeyMax First, and double down on it
- Plan campaigns, not just posts — build social campaigns end to end; the big idea, the content slate, the creator line-up, the budget and the KPIs.
- Shoot it and cut it yourself — you're hands-on with a camera and an editing timeline. CapCut, Premiere, whatever you use, you produce social-native video without needing a production team for every idea
- Move at the speed of the feed — spot a trend on Monday, ship something on Tuesday. No three-week approval cycles
- Build the content system — asset library, publishing workflow, performance tracking. Make it repeatable so we're not reinventing every week
You're Probably a Fit If
- You've spent 3+ years doing social — brand-side, agency, or building your own audience. What matters is that you've actually made things that performed
- You can point to something you made that took off, and explain exactly why it worked — the hook, the timing, the format, the BGM, the audience
- You edit your own videos and you're fast at it. Turning around a Reel in a few hours is normal for you
- You have taste. You can look at a piece of content and say why it's good or bad in specific terms, not vibes
- You've worked with creators before — briefed them, managed them, and know the difference between a good partnership and an expensive one
- You think in funnels, not just followers. A post with 500k views and zero sign-ups is a problem to you, not a win
- You're organised enough to run a content pipeline and agile enough to blow it up when something better comes along
- Startups energise you. You'd rather ship and learn than plan and wait
Bonus Points
- You're addicted to travel and you play the miles game — you know what a good redemption feels like and you have opinions about transfer partner.
