Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Network & Telecommunications Engineer to ensure the availability, performance and resilience of our network and communications infrastructure.

Working within a business-critical IT environment, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of LAN, WAN and Wi-Fi networks while also managing voice and telecommunications services. 

You will play an important role in incident prevention, infrastructure optimisation and the continuous evolution of the network architecture.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and optimise LAN, WAN and Wi-Fi infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security and performance.
  • Monitor network services proactively, troubleshoot connectivity and performance issues, and analyse logs and metrics to prevent recurring incidents.
  • Administer VoIP and call-recording solutions, including telephone extensions, user profiles and voice/video QoS.
  • Contribute to network architecture improvements, technology assessments, capacity planning and infrastructure expansion.
  • Maintain network documentation and coordinate with technology vendors and telecom operators to ensure agreed service levels.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, Networks, Information Technology or a related field.
  • Fluent English, written and spoken; knowledge of Spanish would be an advantage.
  • At least 4 years of professional experience in network administration, network engineering or telecommunications.
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, STP, VRRP, QoS, LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi and Cisco networking technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting; knowledge of VoIP/call-recording solutions and Cisco CCNA/CCNP certification will be highly valued.
