Role Overview
As a Network Automation Engineer, you will help design, automate and operate highly available global network infrastructure across data-center and AWS environments. You will combine advanced networking expertise with Infrastructure-as-Code and software-driven automation to improve scalability, reliability and operational efficiency.
Working with global Security, Cloud, Infrastructure, DevOps and Application teams, you will help evolve the organization towards an automation-first approach to network engineering.
Responsibilities
- Drive network automation and Infrastructure-as-Code, creating repeatable and scalable network deployment and operational processes.
- Design, implement and operate highly available global network architectures supporting business-critical services.
- Optimize routing and network performance, with particular focus on BGP, TCP/IP, routing and switching.
- Build and evolve modern software-defined data-center networking and load-balancing solutions.
- Design scalable AWS network architectures and collaborate across Cloud, Security, Infrastructure and Application teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Engineering, IT or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
- Excellent English communication skills and confidence working within international, cross-functional teams.
- 5+ years of hands-on Network Engineering experience in enterprise or service-provider environments, with strong TCP/IP, routing, switching and BGP expertise.
- Proven network automation experience using Python, Ansible, Terraform, GitLab and CI/CD within an Infrastructure-as-Code environment.
- Experience with modern network technologies; exposure to AWS networking, SDN, VXLAN/EVPN, F5, firewalls, WAF or DDoS protection would be highly valued.
