Piscataway, NJ - IT Technician & Asset Manager Level II

 Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Asset Management Associate to support the tracking, documentation, and control of company assets. The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining accurate inventory records, supporting audits, and ensuring the proper life cycle management of assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Track and manage IT and non-IT physical assets throughout their lifecycle (procurement to retirement)
  • Maintain and update the asset inventory database with accuracy
  • Tag, record, and audit physical assets on a regular basis
  • Assist with asset-related queries and coordinate with procurement and support teams
  • Support periodic audits and reconciliations of asset records
  • Ensure compliance with asset management policies and procedures
  • Identify and report discrepancies or missing assets
  • Coordinate asset disposal or reassignment based on policy
  • Generate and analyze basic asset reports as required

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 3-5 years of experience in asset management, inventory control, or similar role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and asset tracking software/tools
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Basic understanding of IT hardware and software (for IT asset roles)
  • Effective communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and manage time efficiently
  • Familiarity with ITIL practices or asset management frameworks
  • Experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) tools like ServiceNow, BMC, or simil
  • Knowledge of procurement and logistics processes
