Role Overview
The Head of Strategy - Digital Channels will lead the daily management of the Digital team and shape the development and execution of the future strategy for digital channels. This role is critical in enhancing customer experience and maximising revenue opportunities while ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements. The Head of Strategy - Digital Channels will manage the retail bank's direct digital platforms, including Internet and Mobile Banking, and drive the commercialisation of these channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Owner of Direct Channels: Oversee the retail business's direct channels, including Internet and Mobile Banking, ensuring optimal functionality and performance.
- Digital Strategy: Develop and implement the digital strategy for the retail bank, focusing on functional development and customer experience improvement.
- New Digital Functionality: Drive the development and deployment of new digital functionalities across product and service journeys.
- Channel Commercialisation: Increase customer take-up and usage of digital channels, while boosting online sales and servicing.
- Customer Insight Implementation: Use customer insight to shape growth strategies and enhance customer experience.
- Innovation & Trends: Stay informed on key trends and innovations in digital technology, APIs, Automation, and Agile working practices, ensuring our Client's customer-centric approach.
Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes
- Experience: Proven experience in driving commercial digital KPIs and developing strategies aligned with regulatory and industry standards.
- Leadership: Track record of leading and motivating a team, with experience working in a matrix environment and influencing at local, regional, and group levels.
- Digital Expertise: Strong technical knowledge of digital marketing strategies and digital commerce.
- Financial Services Knowledge: An understanding of the bank's products, services, and processes would be advantageous.
- Professional Training: Qualifications or training in Digital Commerce/Digital Marketing would be beneficial.
