Role Overview
As the IT Second Line Support, you will be an integral part of the ICT & Infrastructure team. Collaborating with team members, you will focus on supporting multiple companies with low to medium complexity. Working closely with engineers, this role offers an opportunity to contribute productively and expand your knowledge by collaborating with experienced colleagues. The role requires a hands-on approach to resolving technical issues and configuring systems, ensuring you have the expertise to manage a variety of technical environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Support: Provide second-line support for installing and troubleshooting Printers, NAS, laptops, and Windows client OS.
- Domain Management: Demonstrate knowledge of adding new users in a domain.
- Office 365 Management: Exhibit proficiency in creating and setting up Office 365 users.
- Storage Solutions: Showcase expertise in creating shared storage solutions.
- Hands-On Configuration: Set up and configure any of the following: Cisco ASA, Hyper-V, Windows Server, and Domain Controller.
- Experience: Possess at least 1 year of experience in IT support and a good understanding of a ticketing system.
Qualifications, Skills and Attributes
- Driving Licence: The candidate must hold a valid driving licence and have the ability to drive.
- Technical Knowledge: Good knowledge of installing and troubleshooting IT equipment, Windows client OS, and Office 365. Good understanding of networking components, including Cisco ASA and Hyper-V virtualisation environments.
- Domain Expertise: Understanding of adding new users in a domain, and setting up and managing Domain Controllers.
- Storage Solutions: Knowledge of creating and setting up shared storage, with the ability to implement solutions effectively.
- Configuration Skills: Proven experience in setting up and configuring Cisco ASA, Hyper-V, and Windows Server environments.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in IT support, with hands-on experience in configuring and troubleshooting various IT systems.
- Ticketing System: Proficient in working with a ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution of issues and accurate tracking.
Assessment Process
- Technical Test: Candidates will undergo a hands-on technical test. This will involve setting up and configuring the components that they are knowledgeable about from the following list:
- Cisco ASA
- Hyper-V
- Windows Server
- Domain Controller (DC)
- Simulation of client machine setup
Based on the result from this test, the candidate will be considered for 1st Tier Support, 2nd Tier Support or Engineer roles respectively.
