The Role: As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in our team, bringing your expertise in accounting practices and financial management. This remote position requires a highly motivated individual with a strong background in Australian accounting standards and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards.
- Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of services.
- Provide expert advice on tax matters, including compliance with Australian tax laws.
- Lead and mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and excellence.
- Collaborate with the Melbourne-based team to develop and implement financial strategies.
- Handle complex accounting tasks including audits, budgeting, and financial forecasting.
- Stay updated with the latest accounting trends and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with a preference for experience in Australian accounting practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Experience with Crypto is preferred but not crucial
- Experienced using Xero and Xero Practice Manager
