Responsibilities:
The Learning and Development Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, and facilitating engaging and effective training programs that enhance employees' skills and knowledge through various types of training, including onboarding, soft skills, technical skills, and leadership development training in a face-to-face or virtual setting. This position is vital to Global Business Services' growth and success, as it ensures trained and motivated employees and fosters great leadership within the organization.
Job Description:
- Conduct thorough training needs assessments to identify skill gaps and development opportunities across the Global Shared Services team by gathering data through surveys, interviews, and observations. You will analyze this data to identify skill gaps and prioritize training needs based on business objectives. Ultimately, You will develop and recommend relevant training programs that enhance employee performance and contribute to organizational success.
- As a facilitator of learning within our GBS organization, you will play a key role in developing and delivering high-quality training programs that enhance the skills and knowledge of our employees. You will facilitate a variety of training programs that range from new hire onboarding to leadership development across all departments in the GBS
function. You will adapt your training methodologies to effectively engage and inspire employees at all levels, ensuring that training programs are aligned with the evolving needs of our global business. - Measure and report the outcome of training. This involves collecting and analyzing data, preparing a data-driven report, and communicating findings to key stakeholders. You'll not only present the success of training initiatives but also identify where there is a need for improvement in order to make suggestions for future enhancements that will bring about continuous learning and development of the organization.
- The Learning and Development Specialist will work successfully with colleagues across various roles to create, produce, and execute high-impact training programs that address each department's specific needs.
- You are responsible for initiating LMS onboarding for new employees, managing employee accounts, and assigning and tracking progress in assigned courses.
- Reports directly to the GBS Training Manager and will play an important role in
supporting the overall L&D strategy and initiatives.Skills and preferred qualifications

What youll bring with you:
- Associate's degree or at least two years of college coursework in Human Resources, Education, Business, or a related field. (Preferred but not required)
- Minimum of two years of professional experience in Training and Development, with a strong preference for experience in leadership training.
- You have experience using Learning Management Systems (LMS) and possess strong skills in online learning delivery and administration.
- You work independently and solution-oriented; you have a decision-making mindset and an acute sense of responsibility.
- You have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- You are confident in using customer support software and processes.
- You have high-level MS office skills, specifically Excel/PowerPoint (Google Suite Preferred)
- You are ready to take on responsibilities from day 1 in a dynamic environment
