Job Description

You will join our talented and driven Upstream Operations team. This is the perfect role for someone to develop their career in Strategic Procurement and Indirect Procurement. The candidate's contribution will be key to improving the daily operations management processes and by ensuring our business inputs are effectively managed and compliant to our policies.

What You'll Do- Become an expert with our Workday Procurement tool
- Become an expert in our procurement policies and processes
- Review, adjust, and approve purchase requests raised by business users
- Ensure purchasing compliance according to our policies and processes
- Act as the first point of contact for all requests, questions, issues raised by Workday Procurement users
- Provide business support to the users throughout the entire purchasing process (P2P)
- Handle Purchase Order (PO) and Goods Receipt (GR) discrepancies
- Manage the claim management process
- Performs all tasks related to supplier management. Including supplier onboarding, qualification, evaluation, performance management and offboarding.
- Creation of new standard goods and services in our internal purchasing system
- Maintenance of data related to standard goods and services in our internal purchasing system
- Provide continuous improvement feedback to the Guided Buying system and relevant process to drive efficiency improvements
- Support the Contracting process by facilitating contract reviews
- Conduct small volume tenders according to valid policy (i.e. most likely obtain offer(s), potentially negotiate with supplier(s) and award contract by choosing the most competitive offer in collaboration with relevant stakeholders)
- Support the invoice reconciliation process for related invoices to ensure a three-way-match (PO-GR-Invoice)
Skills and preferred qualifications
- Excellent knowledge of word processing, presentation tools, spreadsheets (Microsoft Office and G-Suite) and Gmail
Good understanding of databases
Professional proficiency of English both oral and written
Clear, effective and concise communicator
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Fast learner with new technology and easily adapts to different tech systems
Organized and excellent time management skills
Experience challenging and improving the status quo
Always have a Can Do attitude, ready to support the team
Critical thinker, independent and proactive problem solver using sound, inclusive reasoning and judgment
Nice-to-have: experience with Atlassian Tools (ie. JIRA), Icertis, and other procurement tools
