About the job Site Accountant (Palawan)
Role Purpose:
To ensure timely, smooth and correct accounting records for proper financial reporting and compliance requirements for Palawan site. The site accountant will ensure that everyday transactions of Palawan with financial matters are validated and communicated to the head office and to the finance manager.
Responsibilities:
Acts as POC for the Palawan site suppliers payments and ensures that the accounting documentation was validated and complete as to approval, documentation and that policies and procedures took place.
Maintains and updates an Active Vendors Master list and ensures to cross verify the suppliers data of Palawan.
Supports the accounting team for the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end activities as required, following the calendar guide and compliance on financial reporting process and procedures.
Prepares reconciliation of accounts assigned and ensures to communicate to the management of any open items and correct as necessary.
Act as the auditor of the T&E expenses or any engagement activities across HelloConnect.
Attest any actual deliveries of supplies inventory and capex for the site.
Help the Fixed Asset Management Team with the reconciliation of assets between Snipe IT and Oracle (Palawan site) and assist with any physical count needed.
Collaborate with Tax Team for the tax and regulatory compliance requirements with the City Treasurer of Palawan, Bureau of Investments (BOI), and the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR).
Responsible in preparing the manual set of books of accounts for the site and ensures that said books were reviewed and approved by the management.
Responsible for the completeness of revenue invoices or receipts of Palawan.
Ensure that accounting records are stored completely, securely and in compliance with company policy and confidentiality. Ensure record retention either soft file or hardcopies in a timely manner.
Communicate regularly with the Finance Manager to provide updates on financial matters and seek advice or approval as needed.
Assist with any audit requests, be it external or internal audit.
Role Requirements or Qualifications:
CPA required with at least five (5) years of experience in finance and accounting functions
Must have handled set of primary ledger and subledger books
Updated to new tax rulings
Ability to interface with a broad range of professional staff
Very Analytical, Proficient in MS Excel, and any ERP system (preferable Oracle)
High regards to integrity
Working Location: Palawan
Working Schedule: 10AM - 7PM
