Reporting Line: Reports to Country Manager Benelux
Role Summary
The Director Project House & Distribution is responsible for leading the Project Management organization and the Distribution (logistics and supply chain) for Siemens eMobility Charging in the Benelux. This role holds end-to-end accountability for project delivery, distribution execution and governance, with a strong focus on operational excellence and continuous improvement. The director acts as a senior escalation point for critical delivery or logistical issues and engages teams through periods of high demand.
Develop and implement a long-term vision and strategy for the department that aligns with Siemens eMobility overall mission. Draw up and monitor departmental budgets, KPI's and management reports to drive transparency and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Ownership
- Lead, coach, and develop the Project Management and Distribution teams.
- Take full ownership of project execution and distribution outcomes across the Benelux.
- Create a high-performance, customer-focused culture.
- Establish work processes and governance frameworks that ensure efficiency and scalability in line with organizational objectives.
Stakeholder & Escalation Management
- Act as senior escalation points for critical customer issues and complaints.
- Engage directly with customers and key stakeholders to rebuild trust, manage expectations, and resolve conflicts.
- Lead the organization in dealing with a high level of customer frustration in a professional, empathetic, and solution-oriented manner.
- Advise and negotiate with Executive Board and external partners on strategic commitments and contract terms.
Project House Management
- Oversee the delivery of complex eMobility charging infrastructure projects, from handover to completion.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget, and to agreed quality standards.
- Improve project governance, processes, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Leverage project management systems and data analytics to gain real-time insights into project progress, risks, and resource planning
- Produce and maintain a 1- to 3-year project roadmap, aligning resource plans with market and customer needs.
Stakeholder & Management Interface
- Work closely with the Country Manager Benelux, providing transparency on performance, risks, and improvement initiatives.
- Align with Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Regional/Global stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery.
- Represent Siemens eMobility at customer meetings and internal management forums.
- Build strong relationships with peer directors and external partners, leveraging organizational sensitivity to influence cross-functional decisions.
Supply chain & Logistics management
- Source and deliver execution for products, components and locally sourced accessories (e.g. SiCharge D, Flex, Mobile), as well as prototypes, R&D materials and indirect materials, to ensure stable day-to-day supply capability of the RC NL/Benelux.
- Operational transport and logistics execution for locally sourced components and accessories, including shipment coordination, lead-time adherence and operational interface with logistics service providers and suppliers.
- Local Material Management and sourcing governance, ensuring end-to-end synchronization of material, information and value flows within ERP systems (data quality, planning parameters and transparency standards).
- Local Supply Chain process governance covering lead times, transport parameters, planning logic and master data, providing the framework for reliable delivery confirmations and scalable operations.
- Define and implement a clear future-state governance model: full spare-parts order-to-delivery execution and customer-facing fulfillment owned by RC NL Customer Service; RC NL LOG retains governance over material availability, logistics concepts and transport parameters only.
Qualifications & Experience
- Technical Master's or equivalent experience + executive education
- 12+ years of progressive leadership experience in project management, distribution & logistics organizations, with a proven track record of scaling teams, optimizing end-to-end processes and delivering operational excellence (ideally in infrastructure, energy or eMobility).
