$500 SIGN-ON BONUS WITH 12 MONTH COMMITMENT
HRRMC Dietary department is seeking a PRN Dietary Aide/Cook. This position is scheduled for on-call, as needed and eligible for an 8% PRN Differential.
SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Prepares and assists with cooking all menu items as needed. Prepares and delivers food trays to hospital patients. Acts as a sous chef to the Cook. Able to perform duties of 1st and 2nd Cook. Receives and inspects deliveries for accuracy and quality. Sets up and delivers catering. Maintains clean and organized work area allowing for continual delivery of optimal food service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES PER AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY
1. Assists cooks and aides with preparing foods on weekly menu.
2. Assists with dishing all patients plates for tray line & taking food to cafeteria on time & placing in serving counters.
3. Washes all pots & pans & equipment used during the day, if needed.
4. Assists with estimating food preparation according to census & cafeteria.
5. Receives food deliveries and restocks all supplies as needed.
6. Follows safety and sanitation rules and takes appropriate safety precautions when performing tasks.
7. Completes monthly cleaning assignments.
8. Assists with ordering of food & supplies as needed.
9. Assists patients with menu orders. Communicates with room aide and nursing regarding diet and menu orders.
10. Able to operate Point of Sale (POS) cash register system.
11. Prepares & dishes all cold food items for patients.
12. Assembles & delivers patient trays for each meal on tray line. Assists patients with tray set up as needed.
13. Serves late trays to patients as needed.
14. Assists patients with menu orders. Communicates with room aides & nursing regarding diet/menu orders.
15. Cleans & restocks work areas following each meal service as needed.
16. Washes dishes, sanitizes food cart, and cleans dish room after each use.
17. Stocks shelves when supplies are delivered.
18. Prepares and delivers catering orders.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of three years of cooking experience, preferably in a healthcare setting, or other professional setting.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- ServSafe Certification required after 90-days of employment.
