We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Support Worker (PSW) to provide one-on-one care for a client in a Retirement Home setting in Burlington, ON.

Position Details:

Schedule: 3 hours in the morning & 3 hours in the evening
Days: 7 days per week
Total Hours: 42 hours per week

Quick Information:

Compensation: $19 – $21/hour

Requirements:

  • Valid PSW Certificate

  • Vulnerable Sector Check (within 6 months)

  • TB Test (up-to-date)

  • CPR/First Aid (asset)

  • Previous retirement home or private care experience (asset)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently

  • Compassionate, patient, and professional demeanor

  • Strong time management and organizational skills

  • Experience in dementia care (asset)

  • Reliable attendance and positive work record

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)

  • Assist with morning and evening routines (hygiene, dressing, grooming)

  • Support mobility and safe transfers

  • Assist with meal preparation and feeding if required

  • Monitor and report changes in the clients condition

  • Maintain accurate documentation as required

  • Promote client dignity, independence, and comfort

  • Follow Infection Prevention and Control practices

  • Maintain a safe and respectful environment
